Materials: A Chimta formed from a V-shaped wood stick lowered at the base to allow the forked stick to open out.
Family: Percussion
Use: A hand hold in the centre allows the sticks to be beaten against each other, rattled and the ring at the base can also struck against the body of the stick, creating three different sounds.
Social context: Played by amateur groups divided into wedding songs, lamentations, women's labor songs, dance songs and others according to the occasion.
